Runaway train in Morocco as driver goes for coffee
Rabat: A runaway Moroccan passenger train travelled for 1.5 kilometres (almost a mile) without its motorist who’d gone for a coffee, reports said Tuesday.
Mondays event occurred when the motorist of the Rabat-headed train got off at Kenitra station about 40 kilometres northeast of the capital, the Almassae daily said.
The train, with 20 people on board, began rolling in the wrong way before later coming to a halt by itself.
Nobody on board the locomotive was damage. The National Railways Office said an investigation was under way into the situation. (AFP)
